Later in the year Cruise Maritime Voyages acquired Grand Holiday and renamed her Magellan. Azamara Pursuit is the newest ship to make our list and the only one still operating as a cruise ship.

While we have seen a few cruise ships resume operations in Europe and other destinations around the world since last summer most of these vessels remain off-limits to Americans.

While the cruise industry stages a comeback this summer in Europe and the Caribbean a number of lines are already sailing in April. With these new start dates the Grand World Voyage and Grand South America and Antarctica Voyage will not operate in 2022 and will resume in 2023. Celebrity Cruises has not formally announced their complete new health protocols for cruises when they restart which are being developed in consultation with the Healthy Sail Panel group that was assembled by the Royal Caribbean Group and Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings.
